CASCOM Safety Office

Mission

CASCOM Safety serves the Senior Mission Commanders advisor for all safety and occupational health (SOH) matters concerning programs, personnel, property and equipment within command. CASCOM Safety Office establishes safety policies, responsibilities and procedures to safeguard and preserve CASCOM resources against accidental loss and provide public safety policy incidental to CASCOM operations and activities and ensure regulatory and statutory compliance.

Core Mission Objectives

  • Advisory Leadership:Provide a principal safety advisor to leaders of each Proponent School, Institute, and University.
  • Integration:Fully integrate safety and Risk Management (RM) into all branch and school proponent products, including doctrine, training, and capability developments.
  • Program Management:Oversee the CASCOM Safety Program, supporting school representatives in safety education, training, and promotion activities.
  • Compliance & Assessment:Conduct inspections, hazard analyses, accident investigations, and countermeasure development to ensure a proactive safety culture.
  • Equipment Validation:Review and validate new equipment training requirements and requirements documents to ensure safety integration throughout system development.
